Margie is a level 1 instructor in Stotts Pilates and level 1 and 2 in Gyrotonic, having 10+ years of Pilates and Gyrotonic training. She also has 10+ years teaching yoga, water aerobics, floor Pilates and personal training in various gyms along the Grand Strand. She has lived and worked in the Murrells Inlet area for 38 years.
Practicing yoga and Pilates throughout her life has helped even out muscular imbalances due to scoliosis as a child and made her realize that, without the benefit of movement and exercise, she could not be as healthy and strong at this stage of her life.
For 20 years, Margie has worked hard to share her experience and offer safe, mindful movement into physical exercise. Her goal is to leave you with the intention of taking personal physical awareness into your everyday life.
As an instructor, Margie encourages her students to focus on proper alignment and mindful breathing to get the most from each movement. She works with all levels and ages – from beginners to athlete.
Kristin was first introduced to the Pilates method by her dance teacher when she was a teenager. The practice significantly improved her dancing and helped to combat muscular imbalances due to scoliosis. Throughout her professional dance career, Pilates has been crucial to maintaining a healthy body and spine.
Kristin is passionate about injury prevention training for dancers and athletes. She understands the demands that are placed upon the body. Stability and strength training are not only important for a competitive edge, but essential to injury prevention.
As an instructor, she emphasizes proper technique and alignment utilizing her dance, pilates, and personal training experience. Regardless of experience level, she will ensure you are moving efficiently and leave your session with a smile on your face.
